Toronto Disability Pride March: September 22,2012

The Toronto Disability Pride March began last year as part of Occupy Toronto. It continues as an event of celebration and awareness building.

This year's march is on September 22, 2012 and will begin at 1pm at Queens Park. We will march to Nathan Phillips Square via Bay Street.

Why We’re Marching:

  • To bring recognition of the struggles and value of people with disabilities as we fight against ableism and other forms of oppression.
  • To be visible and show that we have a voice in our community and a right to be heard by taking to the streets.
  • To celebrate and take pride in ourselves as a community of people with disabilities.
