Oct. 25: Orange Day - Say NO to Violence Against Women

Say NO – UNiTE to End Violence against Women is a social mobilization platform on ending violence against women and girls, contributing towards UN Secretary General’s system -wide campaign, UNiTE to End Violence against Women. Launched in November 2009 by UN Women, Say NO – UNiTE showcases advocacy efforts and engages people from all walks of life, online and on the ground.

25th of every month is Orange Day and 25 October, is the 4th edition of “Orange Day” action.

Join the UN Secretary-General’s UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign and orange your day!

Things you can do to be Orange :

  • Wear something orange – a  t-shirt, a tie, a dress, or anything else that you like to wear – and send us your photos via Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #OrangeDay;
  • Tweet about what you are doing on #OrangeDay (check out our sample tweets and Facebook posts below);
  • Change your Facebook cover photo to this banner.
